Send invoices, receipts, quotations, order updates and payment reminders automatically through Synex SMS, Synex's own SMS service, or WhatsApp.
Synex SMS is Synex's own SMS service, built in and ready to use. Turn it on with WhatsApp, then choose which messages go out on their own: a posted sale, a receipt, a quotation, a purchase order, a supplier payment, website order updates and overdue payment reminders.
Word every message your way with placeholders such as the invoice number and amount. WhatsApp sends from your verified business number on the official WhatsApp Cloud API, using Meta-approved templates. Practice documents are never sent, and every message is logged.

Questions
Can invoices be sent by SMS or WhatsApp?
Yes, through Synex SMS, Synex's own SMS service, or WhatsApp. Choose which messages go automatically — sales, receipts, quotations, order updates and overdue reminders — and edit the wording. WhatsApp messages go out through the official WhatsApp Cloud API from your verified business number, using Meta-approved templates.
How much does it cost to send an SMS?
Each SMS costs LKR 0.62 (all taxes included). There is a one-time setup fee of LKR 2,684 and no monthly subscription.
What is a Sender ID?
A Sender ID is the name that appears as the sender of your SMS, such as your business name. Three Sender IDs are included and we handle the registration for you.
Can I send SMS in Sinhala and Tamil?
Yes. Messages can be sent in English, Sinhala or Tamil using Unicode. Unicode messages use more characters per SMS.
Does my SMS credit expire?
No. Credit you top up stays in your account until you use it.
Can I connect SMS to my website or system?
Yes. Synex POS and ERP send SMS directly, and the SMS API sends OTPs, order confirmations and reminders from any website or app. Ready-made WooCommerce, Shopify and Zapier integrations are available.
Is Synex WhatsApp an official WhatsApp solution?
Yes. It is built on Meta’s WhatsApp Business Platform (Cloud API). You connect your number with your own Facebook login and Meta verifies it with a code.
Can I send bulk promotions on WhatsApp?
Only with Meta-approved templates, and only to people who agreed to receive messages from you. Unsolicited messages are not allowed.
Can I keep using WhatsApp on my phone?
Depending on how the number is set up, the WhatsApp Business app and the official platform can be used together (Meta “coexistence”), or the number moves fully to the platform. We guide you during setup.
What does Synex WhatsApp cost?
Plans start at LKR 10,000 per 30 days for one number (Business: 3 numbers for LKR 25,000; Agency: 5 numbers for LKR 35,000). Plans do not auto-renew. Meta conversation charges are separate and billed by Meta.
