Warranty Policy

Hardware warranty coverage and claims

Last updated: 6 October 2026

Important: Warranty applies only when they are expressly stated on the invoice issued by Synex for that purchase. The terms written on the invoice (period, items covered and conditions) are the terms that will be followed. If the invoice does not state a refund, cancellation or warranty term, none applies and all payments are final — except where Sri Lankan law requires otherwise.

1. Warranty period

The warranty period for each item is the period stated on your invoice. Items for which no warranty is stated on the invoice carry no warranty from Synex. Manufacturer warranties, where provided, are subject to the manufacturer's own terms.

2. What is covered

Where a warranty is stated on your invoice, it covers manufacturing defects and hardware failures under normal use during that period, unless the invoice says otherwise. If a covered item fails, we will repair it or replace it with the same or an equivalent model.

3. What is never covered

  • Physical damage, liquid damage, drops, power surges or lightning;
  • Damage from misuse, unauthorised repair or modification;
  • Consumables (thermal paper, labels) and batteries after normal wear;
  • Cosmetic wear and tear;
  • Problems caused by third-party software, networks or electricity supply.

4. How to claim

  1. Contact us at +94 11 700 8899 / info@synex.work with your invoice number and a description of the fault (photos or a short video help).
  2. We will check the claim against the warranty stated on your invoice and try to resolve the issue remotely first.
  3. If the item must be inspected, bring or send it to our service point.
